Why I like Dino's blog > Rexroad.com

I probably look at Dino's Woodland Journal once or twice a day. Sometime more when something funny is happening. Sometimes I miss a couple days.

It is usually in the morning when I get up or at night when I am tired and can't write any more.

This is what I really like about the way Dino handles it --

First, he hammers all comers when they deserve it. That is a good thing. When people say something stupid they should get drilled.

Second, he is able to have open comments. I would like to open the comments here but I am not willing to accept the liability (legal or political) for the comments people make here about other people in the community. The current system allows me to hold people accountable if they go over the line.

For example -- when I had open comments during the campaign I had someone get on my blog and post a very inappropriate comment about one of my opponents. When I discovered it I took it down right away. That did not stop one of my opponents from publishing that comment and attributing it to my website and thus -- me.

This blog will continue when I am out of office. That is something I am looking forward to.
