D-Q U I just don't get it By Matt Rexroad on Thursday, February 21, 2008 @ 8:01 AM :: 0 Comments :: Blog   I just read this article in the Sacramento Bee about the Sheriff evicting some squatters at D-Q U. This place has always been a mystery to me.  It would be hard to argue that it is a real university at this point.  I think the federal government still owns the land but I am not sure. I certainly don't understand all the cultural issues here but it would seem to me that if the tribal governments of California really wanted to save this institution then they would have done it.  1/100th of the amount spent for or against Props 94-97 would have set this place up for a century. The other thing I don't get is that with a California Community College system that is so flexible with courses -- why can't the curriculum be folded into something at Woodland Community College or Sacramento City College's Davis Campus?
