I believe that earlier this year I predicted someone would run against Duane and get 30% of the vote and then be forgotten.  That someone would be Mel Smith. He ran for the Assembly against Doug LaMalfa two years ago and got destroyed. In fact, he did not even win the small part of Yolo County that is in that district.  See results here. I'm with Duane. If it stays with these two candidates I predict Duane 72%, Mel 28%.
