The last post on my Saturday adventure reminded me of a post I have been meaning to make about a tour Woodland Vice-Mayor Skip Davies, my neighbor Laura Moon, and I took with Tim O'Halloran between Christmas and New Years.

I had done the lower part of the tour with Art Pimentel last year but had not been up in the Lake County area in a couple years.  The Indian Valley Reservior is something most people in Woodland know very little about but is very important to agriculture in Yolo County.  Here is a picture of it as well as one of Skip Davies near the largest inflatible dam in the world (or something like that).

Having grown up in Lake County, I spent many weekends and summers hunting and fishing the Indian Valley area. A couple years back, CA DFG spent a little money and help the declining Kokanee Salmon, now they are doing well. The Cache Creek Tule Elk heard is doing well and last count there was at least 5 different heards by my count. Down below the damn, fishing is great for CA Native Brown Trout. A very nice place place to visit.
