The Sacramento Bee was calling around today asking questions about the potential Woodland-Davis bike path. I would expect some kind of an article in the morning paper.
We will see. I hope that it captures the vision for the project and the value it will bring to Woodland and Davis.
Here is the article. |

For purely selfish reasons, I would love to see this on CR-102. But I do like the 101 option better than East. Less back-tracking for 1/2 the town, while the other half doesn't lose anything.
I think this would do great things for our property values in the long run. This would make Woodland a viable choice for a group of people who would not consider living in this town now.
AND, it would give those of us already here a great way to get to Davis while reducing fuel usage, costs, and getting some exercise!
Matt, I don't know if you have talked to the University yet, but I am sure they would be interested in this, and could offer some support. Just two weeks ago I filled out a long 'alternative transportation' survey. They talk about van pools, car pools, busses, etc. But getting 50 more people on their bikes would be the best possible scenario.

Better yet is to have those that commute to Davis stay in Davis.
