34 years.....not a chance By Matt Rexroad on Friday, October 12, 2007 @ 7:07 AM :: 0 Comments :: Blog   Newark Mayor Dave Smith has been in office for 32 years...and going for 34.  I loved being Mayor of Woodland and am honored to be a County Supervisor. In fact, I will not rule out running for City Council again at some point in my life. However, I am sure that I will not be in office for 32 years.
