I started a blog called CalRaces that enjoyed great readership all over the state.  Eventually I realized that I could not carry the thing on my own and I dumped it. This weekend I accepted an offer to blog on the FlashReport.  My friend Jon Fleischman asked me to write on state-wide issues for his blog that has a huge impact on California politics. The best part about it is that I will probably only write one or two posts  a week. My first offering is on the UC system and the nonsense they refer to as "academic freedom" when the views expressed are views the faculty shares. You can read the post here.
