Replacing Yamada By Matt Rexroad on Monday, September 17, 2007 @ 6:33 AM :: 0 Comments :: Blog   In looking through the papers that I did not get to read this weekend I see that John Ferrera has announced that he is running for Supervisor.  Most everyone knew this was coming.  The Davis Enterprise article is not on-line. Doug Paul Davis reports on it here. What kind of has me scratching my head is that he earned the endorsement of Supervisor Helen Thomson, City Councilmember Stephen Souza, Mayor Ruth Asmundson, as well as Senator Mike Machado. I don't think the Machado endorsement does anything for him but the other three actually mean something in Davis. Four months ago I was getting continual questions about Jim Porzenza. Now the questions come from people about Ferrera. This may be a spirited race yet.  Ferrera certainly wasn't wasting any time this summer.
