Cortina Landfill By Matt Rexroad on Friday, September 26, 2008 @ 7:08 PM :: 0 Comments :: Blog   At our last Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday we had a couple people from Davis, including Vice-Mayor Don Saylor, ask the Board to adopt a resolution opposing a landfill in Colusa County. The Davis City Council has adopted a resolution opposing this landfill.  The Colusa County Board of Supervisors have done the same. It is a landfill proposed by the Cortina Band of Wintun Indians.  Here is the website of the group that is opposed to the landfill in Colusa County. My issues are two --- 1) How does this really impact Yolo County? 2) What about the issue of tribal governments sovereignty?
