Capitol Elector By Matt Rexroad on Monday, July 14, 2008 @ 6:59 AM :: 2 Comments :: Blog   Several months ago I was invited to participate in a new blog in the Sacramento region,  Jason Daniel had Eyes of Argus that basicallly covered Elk Grove stuff.  His new effort has people that cover the entire Sacramento region. From time to time I get offers to do this sort of thing.  I like Jason and think this is more my speed. You can see the new site here. It just kicked off today.

Jason's site is about the city (and, of course, the region where there be dragons across the river). What's interesting here is the perceived need for another "news" site. Obviously, the mainstream media and the established independent sites are not meeting local needs. I know of another startup that is preparing to launch in the next couple of months. The startup will attempt to create micro-news sites. The first one will focus on the downtown neighborhood of Southside Park. From there, the world . . .
